More About The Berkey Light w/ Berkey Earth Elements
This version of the Berkey Light was designed for our cost conscious customers who always wanted a Berkey, but may have had a hard time affording one. It took over 2 years of design and testing to formulate what we consider to the best ceramic filters on the market today. There's no need to purchase lower costing Berkey knock-off brands any longer. Now you can have high quality filtration at a lower price!! Also, down the road, you can upgrade to the black berkey filters at any time as they fit this berkey light system just the same.
The Berkey Light housing is shatter resistant and virtually unbreakable, made of high impact strength non-BPA copolyester. This plastic is not manufactured with or contain any Bisphenol A.
The Berkey Light filter system does not leach foul tasting plasticizers into your water and will not retain foul tastes and odors from waterborne contaminants. As the system purifies water, it produces the delightful and relaxing sound of falling raindrops.

Which filters would be best?
With the iron content, would the stainless steel be easy to clean?
We would recommend the stainless with the black berkey filters. The stainless will be easier to clean, and we recommend cleaning the chambers more often due to the high iron. The black berkeys should last longer against the iron in our estimate.
You would want to calculate/approximate what your usage equates to in gallons per day. Then simply extrapolate that over 365 days in a year, and you'll know your yearly usage. You can then see how that stacks up against the 6000 gallons, and approximate when you'll need to replace them based upon that.
Thank you for your time!
