Hi I think my wife damaged the fluride filter. I asked her to clean the system. She took everything apart to clean it with cold water. But when she reinstalled things back together she forgot about some instructions I had told her over a year ago when we first bought it. She didn't make sure to screw it only 8 rotation. In your website it says if more than 8 rotation it can puncture the screen inside. I can I check to see if the fluride filter is damaged?
Thanks Dan
Hi Daniel -
If the screen is punctured, you will see the media start to fall out of it. You can still push on it a little without ruining it, so you'll have to inspect it by eye, or by running water from your faucet through it to see if the media begins to pour out of it.
Thanks
Dan
Hi,
I just purchased the stainless steel big berkey an did not receive the sight glass spigot you mentioned on this page that comes free with the purchase. How can I get one?
Thanks!
Hi Barbara -
This was when we were permitted to offer free items with system purchases. As it stands now, we are only permitted to offer these items at a discounted price. The sight glass in particular is discounted to $25.
Thanks
Dan
