Stainless Steel Spigot Questions
Will it fit my Berkey?
Yes. One size fits the Travel, Big, Royal, Imperial and Crown Berkey, including older systems. The Go Berkey Kit has no spigot.
Will water flow faster than with the plastic spigot?
About the same. Flow comes from your filter elements, so the spigot you choose doesn't change it.
Can I use it with the Sight Glass or Water View Spigot?
No. Each system takes one spigot. If you want stainless steel and a view of your water level, choose the Stainless Steel Water View Spigot.
What's included?
The stainless steel spigot, silicone washers and a stainless steel mounting nut.
How do I install it?
Remove your standard spigot. Place one washer on the spigot threads, push the threads through the hole from outside the lower chamber, add the second washer inside, then thread on the nut and hand tighten. Fill the system and check for drips.
Why does water come out slowly when I open the spigot?
A vacuum can form between the two chambers. Lift the upper chamber slightly while the spigot is open. If that fixes it, contact our customer service team and we'll help with a permanent solution.
