Water View Spigot Questions
Which size Water View Spigot do I need?
Choose 7.5 inch for the Travel Berkey and Big Berkey, 10 inch for the Royal Berkey, and 13 inch for the Imperial Berkey and Crown Berkey. If you're not sure which system you own, measure its height and contact us, and we'll match the size for you.
Can I use a different size than my system calls for?
A 10 inch spigot works on a Big Berkey; the tube just reaches a little above the seam between the chambers. Don't go shorter than your size. On a Royal, a 7.5 inch tube sits below the full water line and water can leak from the top of the tube.
Can I use it with my standard or Stainless Steel Spigot?
No. Each system takes one spigot, so the Water View replaces the spigot you have now.
Does it fit the Go Berkey Kit?
No. The Go Berkey has no spigot. The Water View fits the Travel, Big, Royal, Imperial and Crown Berkey.
Why doesn't the tube show the same level as my lower chamber?
Air is most likely trapped in the tube. Empty the lower chamber and spigot, then refill with a fresh batch and the level will match. If condensation makes the tube hard to read, remove the glass, let it dry and reinstall it.
What should I do if it drips at the base of the tube?
A washer at the bottom of the glass tube seals it. Make sure it is seated after cleaning. If it is missing or worn, contact our customer service team and we'll send you a replacement.
