The Travel Berkey puts the same filtration as our larger systems into a 7.5 inch footprint. It holds 1.5 gallons for 1 to 3 people, fits small kitchens, and gravity does all the work.

The Travel Berkey holds up to 2 PF-2 Fluoride and Arsenic filters in the lower chamber, one for each element above. They thread onto the bottom of your elements and reduce fluoride from treated municipal or well water. Each pair is rated for 1,000 gallons or 1 year, whichever comes first.

How many people is the Travel Berkey right for?
The Travel Berkey is recommended for 1 to 3 people. It holds 1.5 gallons of filtered water, enough for a small household to drink and cook with throughout the day.
Can I use the Travel Berkey in an RV or at a campground?
Yes, with treated water. Fill it from your RV's city water hookup or a campground's municipal tap. Like every Berkey system, it is designed for treated municipal or well water, not water from lakes, rivers or streams.
Should I buy the Travel Berkey or the Big Berkey?
The Travel Berkey holds 1.5 gallons and suits 1 to 3 people. The Big Berkey holds 2.25 gallons and suits 1 to 4, and it expands to 4 elements for faster filtration. Choose the Travel for a small household or a small kitchen; choose the Big if you want more water on hand or faster filtration.
Which filter elements come with it?
The Travel Berkey comes with 2 Black Berkey elements, its full capacity. When it is time to replace them, Berkey Phoenix elements are a direct drop-in. Black Berkey elements are currently unavailable for individual purchase due to an EPA regulatory matter.
