I started this company in 2008 with a simple belief: the foundation of a healthy life starts with the quality of the water you drink.
We spend a lot of time thinking about nutrition and supplements, yet it’s easy to overlook what comes out of the tap. As testing improves and more information becomes available, people have more questions about their drinking water and even more choices to sort through.
That’s why I built this business to be a resource first and a store second. We share lab reports, explain what different filters can and can’t do, and give you clear information about product availability. My goal is to help you choose a system with confidence.

Meet the team
Four people across three states, every one of them a daily Berkey user. When you email or call, this is who answers.
Industrial engineering degree and MBA in finance, both from Rutgers. Founded the company in 2008. Off the clock: exercise, meditation, beach life, and time with family and friends.
A Berkey user for more than 20 years before she ever took a support call. Jennie talks with customers all over the world and knows the product line better than anyone we have met.
Small-town country girl from Waller, Texas, married with three kids. Toni loves her Berkey because it is economical and easy to live with, and she will tell you the same about yours.
Bachelor's in accounting and master's in business from Georgian Court University. Ten years with us, and a Big Berkey on her own counter every day. Skier, cook, and mom to two boys.
Why you won't find us on Amazon or Walmart
We made a deliberate decision not to sell through third-party marketplaces, and it comes down to authenticity and customer protection.
Berkey-branded systems and filter elements are listed on those platforms by many sellers, and it is hard for a buyer to verify who is authorized and whether a product is genuine. Look-alike products carry no verified testing and are not made to any documented standard. Most buyers do not find out until something goes wrong. We show real examples in our guide to spotting counterfeit Black Berkey elements.
The manufacturer does not warranty products bought from unauthorized sellers, and our own lifetime warranty on stainless steel chambers and hardware applies only to purchases made through this site. We regularly hear from people who bought elsewhere and ran into trouble, and in most cases there is nothing we can do because there is no record of the purchase and no way to confirm the product is real.
Buying direct from an authorized dealer is the only way to be sure you are getting an authentic product with full warranty coverage.
