Which Filters Does My Berkey Need?
Most Berkey systems run on 2 filter elements in the upper chamber. Berkey Phoenix elements replace Black Berkey elements directly. For fluoride, add one set of PF-2 filters to the lower chamber.
Phoenix Elements
A direct drop-in for Black Berkey elements in any Berkey system. Rated for 5,500 gallons per pair, about 2 cents a gallon.
PF-2 Fluoride Filters
Thread onto the bottom of your elements in the lower chamber. Needed for fluoride and arsenic reduction.
When to Replace
Replace elements at their rated gallons. Replace PF-2 filters every 1,000 gallons or 1 year, whichever comes first.
