This Sport Replacement Filter only fits the newly designed Sport Berkey, made available for sale Oct 1st, 2015.

The Sport Berkey has been redesigned and improved by the manufacturer with a larger internal straw, allowing for easier water uptake and filtration. As a result, the nozzles on the underbelly of the Sport Berkey cap and the Sport Berkey Replacement Filters are larger also.

Replacement filters to fit Sport Berkeys manufactured before Oct 1st, 2015 have been discontinued by New Millennium Concepts and are no longer available.

How to Use Sport Berkey Equipped With Sport Berkey Replacement Filters

Fill your Sport Berkey portable water bottle with water, and fasten the cap tightly to prevent any leaking. Activate the filter by pulling down the lever to expose the straw and then squeeze the bottle to push water through the filter and out via the straw.

Do this twice to ensure any residual manufacturing dust is cleared from the filter. After these two flushes, rinse the bottle and cap. That’s it: your Sport Berkey is now ready to use!

Sport Berkey Water Filter Replacement Maintenance and Storage

When the filter will not be used for an extended period as a part of the Sport Berkey system, flush the unit with a chlorinated solution of 1/4 tsp. per one-half gallon of water. Allow to dry thoroughly with the cap removed. Re-assemble and stow.
