When It's Time to Replace
Berkey Phoenix elements are a direct drop-in for the Black Berkey element in your Go Berkey. They are certified to NSF/ANSI 42 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 and sold as a pair, so you keep a spare on hand.
Black Berkey elements are currently unavailable for individual purchase due to an EPA regulatory matter.

Go Berkey FAQ
How many people is the Go Berkey right for?
The Go Berkey is recommended for 1 or 2 people. It holds about 1 quart of filtered water and filters up to 1 gallon per hour, which suits personal use at a desk, in a dorm, in an RV or while traveling.
Can I use the Go Berkey in an RV or at a campground?
Yes, with treated water. Fill it from your RV's city water hookup or a campground's municipal tap. Like every Berkey system, it is designed for treated municipal or well water, not water from lakes, rivers or streams.
How portable is the Go Berkey Kit?
The upper chamber nests inside the lower, so it packs down to 10 inches tall. It weighs 2.4 lbs empty and the whole kit fits in the included vinyl carrying case.
Which filter element comes with it?
The Go Berkey comes with 1 Black Berkey element, its full capacity. When it is time to replace it, Berkey Phoenix elements are a direct drop-in. Black Berkey elements are currently unavailable for individual purchase due to an EPA regulatory matter.
How long does the element last, and what do replacements cost?
A Black Berkey element is rated for 3,000 gallons. A pair of Berkey Phoenix replacement elements is $120 and rated for 5,500 gallons, so one element is in use and the other is your spare. That works out to about 2 cents per gallon.
Does the Go Berkey reduce fluoride?
No. The Go Berkey is not compatible with PF-2 Fluoride and Arsenic filters. For fluoride reduction, choose the Travel Berkey or a larger system, which hold PF-2 filters in the lower chamber.
What is included, and what is the warranty?
You get both stainless steel chambers, the lid, 1 Black Berkey element, a 22 oz Sport Berkey bottle, a vinyl carrying case, a wing nut, washer and priming button, and Black Berkey Primer. Buy from BigBerkeyWaterFilters.com and choose our Exclusive Lifetime Warranty on the stainless steel and hardware, available only from us.
