Watch Out for Counterfeits
Amazon and Walmart don't sell Berkey directly, and their third-party listings include counterfeits. A filter that only looks like a Berkey gives your family a false sense of security.
Just last year, the estimate is that close to $3 Million of Berkey counterfeits will have been sold, much of it on Amazon, eBay, and other hard to regulate 3rd party marketplaces that have 'Berkey' in their seller name, but are in no way associated with Berkey. The Black Berkey Elements seem to be the most commonly counterfeited product due to its ease of imitation.
I bought Berkey Black filters through Amazon. The box had "Waterdrop 2pk BB-9-2" written on it, and at the bottom right it said Made in P.R.C. They were counterfeits made in China.
Warranty FAQ
How do I make a warranty claim?
Call 877-992-3753 or use our contact page. We verify your purchase on file and ship the replacement part. Our U.S.-based team is available 7 days a week.
Does the lifetime warranty cover filters?
No. Phoenix, Black Berkey, and PF-2 filters are consumables covered by the manufacturer's separate warranty.
Will the warranty be honored if I bought on Amazon?
Our lifetime warranty covers only systems purchased from BigBerkeyWaterFilters.com. The manufacturer does not always honor claims on Amazon purchases, and Amazon itself is not an authorized Berkey dealer.
